Zhan Yang was born in Handan City, Hebei Province, in 1986. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Oil Painting from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and then she completed her a Master of Fine Arts in 2014. She currently lives and works in Tianjin.
